Passkeys replace the password with your device’s biometric (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello) or a hardware security key. Safer, faster, no phishing surface. Every account should have at least one.
Enrol one
- Go to /account/securitySign in first if you haven’t already.
- Click "Add passkey"Your browser or OS will prompt for authentication — Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a YubiKey.
- Name the passkeye.g. "MacBook Pro" or "Pixel 9". Helps if you later need to revoke one.
- SaveThat’s it. Next time you sign in, pick "Sign in with a passkey" and authenticate.
Enrol more than one
We recommend at least two passkeys on different devices — one on your phone, one on your laptop. If one device is lost, the other still gets you in without needing a password reset.
What’s supported
- iOS 16 / macOS Ventura and laterFace ID and Touch ID via Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge.
- Android 9 and laterFingerprint or screen-lock PIN via Chrome, Firefox, Edge.
- Windows 10 / 11Windows Hello (face, fingerprint, PIN) via Edge, Chrome, Firefox.
- Hardware keysYubiKey 5, Google Titan, Feitian — anything WebAuthn-compliant.
Lost your device?
Sign in on a device that still has an enrolled passkey and revoke the lost device’s passkey from /account/security. If no other passkey is enrolled, use the magic-link fallback (email to the address on file) and enrol a fresh passkey immediately.
