What Revit, ArchiCAD and Rhino actually need

Revit is a single threaded workhorse. Revit 2026 wants a CPU boost clock of 4.5 GHz or higher, 32 GB of RAM as a floor for anything beyond small residential work, and a DirectX 11 capable GPU with at least 4 GB of VRAM. Core i7 (13700, 14700) gives you higher single core boost clocks, typically 5.3 to 5.5 GHz on the P cores, plus efficiency cores for background tasks. Opening a large central Revit model, regenerating views and moving through sheets all feel faster on a high boost i7.

The pragmatic rule: if your day is 80 percent Revit or Rhino modelling, take the i7. If you spend serious time in Twinmotion, Enscape, V-Ray, Corona or CineRender, take the Ryzen 9 for the extra cores.
